During the consultation, the pediatrician assesses the child’s general health, physical and psychomotor development, performs a clinical examination, reviews previous test results, and, when necessary, determines whether additional diagnostic tests are required. Based on the consultation, the pediatrician provides individualized recommendations for treatment, follow-up, and prevention, and, if needed, determines the appropriate referral pathway to a pediatric specialist.
